Data Engineer

To strengthen our data engineering team, I am looking for a new lead data engineer. Our team is responsible for initiatives ranging from new project kick-offs to architectural design and advanced evolution phases requiring feature enhancements. You will have the chance to contribute to the design of a comprehensive solution for data cleansing in compliance with GDPR regulations. We are also launching a new initiative focused on processing email communications with clients to enhance our customer interaction processes. Our projects are primarily executed on Azure based cloud platform, utilizing a tech stack that includes Data Factory, Spark, and Scala. We also engage in Python and PySpark projects, alongside emerging technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes. Moreover, our team takes on technical and configuration responsibilities, including the preparation of data labs for end users and Cloud configuration. We pride ourselves on our collaborative environment, where every team member is equipped to handle a variety of tasks—be it configuration, monitoring, or development—ensuring a well-rounded and versatile skill set across the team.

Your responsibilities

MLOps: Contribute to the architecture definition and establish development standards (templates, CI/CD, etc.) for projects in collaboration with data scientists.
GDPR: Implement and configure purge rules on the Data Lake to ensure compliance with data retention periods.
Supervise/monitor the proper functioning of data ingestion into the Data Lake.
Assist users in optimizing PySpark/Spark codes.
Task automation to improve monitoring / quality review

Requirements

Good ability to understand technological stack and tools
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and to help team members to learn and develop their skills
Autonomy, precision, pragmatism and a real capacity to deliver
Professional proficiency in English
